Four things: Eye test at an optician (~7 €, max. 2 years old), 9-hour first aid course (~40 €, lifelong), biometric passport photo (35 × 45 mm), application to the Düsseldorf Road Traffic Office, Höherweg 101 — we will submit that for you. Processing time at the office: 4-6 weeks, so register at least 6 weeks before the course starts. You will receive learning material on the first theory day.

Yes — the holidays are ideal because you have a continuous window of time without school/study obligations. We offer the course during Easter, summer, autumn and Christmas holidays. Tip: Register 4-6 weeks before the start of the holiday so that the application is approved in time. Summer slots are particularly in demand - register by the end of April. Students on semester break also use this format.

We plan 1-2 buffer days into each 14-day block. If you are absent for a longer period of time, we will postpone the plan - theory double lessons must be made up in full in accordance with Section 4 (4) FahrschAusbO. We can rebook unscheduled practice sessions for an additional charge (€60-70/hour). In the event of a complete cancellation due to illness, we will reimburse any compulsory hours not incurred proportionately.

The content is identical - the same 14 theory double lessons, the same 12 special trips, the same TÜV tests. Difference in timing: Regular course spreads theory over 8-12 weeks, intensive course over 14 days. Practice daily instead of weekly. Advantage: faster completion (6-8 weeks instead of 3-6 months). Disadvantage: higher mental load - not suitable for everyone.

Overall, similar level to the regular course: €2,800-3,800 for class B. Basic fee €330 (own intensive course registration), 12 compulsory special trips plus 15-25 practice hours (€60-70 each), teaching material, eye test, first aid, TÜV theory €22.49, TÜV practice €116.93, application fee (~43€). No additional surcharges per driving hour - every hour is actually driven. Intensive course participants often need fewer practice hours.

We coordinate TÜV theory and practical appointments directly at the end of the course. At TÜV Rheinland (Düsseldorf-Reisholz) there is a typical waiting time of 2-4 weeks for class B practical tests - we reserve early as soon as your application is approved. Theory test only after every 14 double lessons, practice only after every 12 special trips. If you fail, there is a 2-week waiting period (Section 16 Para. 4 FeV).
